You must first wet-wipe both sides of each louvre to clear most of the dirt away. You can do this with a saturated towel wiping both sides of each louvre at the same time.

But the second clean is better done using windex, but if you use detergent water and a scrim, you have to baby- sit the drips louvre by louvre, and wait much longer before you close the louvres.
